Okay, there was a conversation I . . .witnessed. Yes, witnessed is the right

I can't remember how the raucous pop music quiz recently got onto the
question of "cockney lesbians" - maybe they had one there - but I
wasn't sure whether to be glad, sorry, or to write in then they didn't
go anywhere near "Knees Up, Mother Brown".
Possibly no one wanted to know that.

Oh, I don't know. Agnes and Diamanta could be an interesting dynamic,
especially if Perdita took over halfway through.

Peachy, I wish to urgently advise you that Stacie probably would not
want you to click on the following link, on the grounds that it would
only give you ideas. I trust that you understand this advice perfectly.

the bottom - if "faeces" is spelt correctly by the time you read it,
then he's received my email and corrected it.)

"Faeces" has been corrected, or at least is correct. Now, how about
"abhored", "mondulated", "anitcipated", "vetilation", "nausiating" and
"convinient"?

That much is obvious, yes.

Oh yes, you did! And the rest of us, too. And so did Stacie.

"Anitcipated" is an ordinary spelling error. I can ignore that sort of
thing. Spelling "faeces" as "feicies" is in an entirely different
league. It suggests ignorance rather than mere bad spelling.

"so did Stacie"

Excuse me, but what sort of dictionary are you using? I think it's faulty.

The distinction is too subtle for me. Not that I regard poor spelling as
ignorance, except in the most literal sense of the word.
